I’m a journalist and seasonal wildland firefighter who grew up in Eugene, Oregon. After receiving my bachelor’s degree with a major in journalism and a minor in Arabic studies, I moved to the Middle East where I based myself out of Amman, Jordan.
Currently, I split my time between living in Amman and fighting fire during Oregon’s fire season.
I have covered stories in Lebanon, Oman and Jordan. My work has been published in The Washington Post, The New York Times, The Guardian and other international publications.
